The city limits of Grand Rapids lie along the railroad tracks just south of Restlawn Cemetary.  On the other side of the boundary is Wyoming, not Kentwood.  The closest part of Kentwood is about one mile south at 44th St.  So the cemetary is in Grand Rapids, not either Kentwood or Wyoming.  Just to be sure, I looked it up on a map. As to Kentwood having its own post office, I was told some years ago by postal officials that the Kentwood and Wyoming post offices were actually Grand Rapids post office branches.  That may have changed since then, but I doubt it.  Although I live in Grand Rapids, I am served by a branch post office several miles away in Kentwood and the post mark is Grand Rapids. You are correct, I should have said Kentwood has a postoffice building on 44th St., but it is a branch of the Grand Rapids Post Office. I double checked the map and you are correct as to the city limits of Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Kentwood. The city limits zig-zag around so much in that area that it gets confusing. I relied on a memorial from a relatives funeral that indicates burial in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Kentwood. I guess even the funeral directors can't keep it straight! The cemetery is privately owned and operated so there is no city involved with the cemetery.
