The date of birth is only a guess, based on those records from 1910-1930. I have photos of Chester as a child and adult, which were in the possession of a member of my own family. I know Chester spent time in Cuba, as he sent photos and postcards from there to relatives. The 1930 census lists a Chester B. Johnson, 26, (born Michigan, as were his parents), and wife Dorothy E. Johnson, 25, who was born in North Carolina (as were her parents). This census shows at the time, the couple was living in Tampa, Fla. and that Chester was working as an "operator of a moving picture machine."
