After I posted the first answer I found the listing for Alton Cem. on Mich on US Genweb. on the listing it lists Northrup, Rosina (Grandma) d. l7 July l869 at 82 years on Carver lot. also listed is Sara W. northup see Carver under Carver is Sara W Northrup died oct l8 l892 wife of Brazillai B. Carver. is this lady in your file. I have been told that before records were state mandated that the tax collector reported to the state once a year all the names of persons who had died in the year. this applies to Indiana and could have been done here. I looked at l880 census and Calvin is still in Iowa. Do you think they would have brought her back here in l872. have you written to the cemetery for the records they have.
