Surviving are his widow, Maxine; two sons, Roger of Grand Rapids and Laurel Jr., at home; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Carlene) VanDyke of Grandville and Mrs. Vernon (Rosalie) Helmus of Grand Rapids; a brother, James of Grandville; an aunt, Miss Julia Farwell of Grandville; three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Mr. Farwell reposes at the Cook Funeral Home 4235 Prairie Grandville where friends and relatives may meet the family from 2 too 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon and from 7 to 9 o’clock Sunday and Monday evenings. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the funeral home, Rev. Ray DeVries officiating. Interment Findlay Cemetery. Surviving aare her children, Carlene and Philip Van Dyke of Grandville, Roger and Vi Farwell of Lake Wales, FL, Rosalie and Vernon Helmus of Byron Center, Laurel Jr. and Charlotte Farwell of Kentwood; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Goudzwaard of Cascade and Mrs. George (Carole) Rockwell of Sun City, CA. Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday from the funeral home with Rev. Charles Fullmer officiating. Interment Findlay Cemetery, Ada. Visiting hours 7 to 9 Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the Grandville Chapel of Cook Funeral Home (4235 Prairie St.).
