SCHMIDT, FORMER GROCER, DIES Theodore J. SCHMIDT, 67, native and lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, died Thursday night at his home, 217 Summer-av., N.W. after a long illness. Mr. SCHMIDT was associated with the Schmidt Bros. grocery on Fulton-st., W., until 25 years ago, when he became a salesman for the Matthew Schmidt Monument Co. Surviving are the widow, Maude [ROBINSON]; two sons, Karl T. and Lawrence R., a brother, Fred C. SCHMIDT; a sister, Mrs. James W. CUDDOHY, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The body is at the Alt mortuary.
