SCHMIDT, PASSES Frank J. SCHMIDT, 63, operator of a grocery store and meat market at 16 Straight-av., S.W., 40 years, died Friday at his home, 1310 Lake Michigan-dr., N.W. For most of the 40-year period Mr. SCHMIDT conducted the meat and grocery business with a brother Fred. He sold the business last September and retired. Mr. SCHMIDT was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church and a member of the Holy Name and St. Joseph's aid societies. Surviving are a son, Edwin C. SCHMIDT; a sister, Mrs. James CUDDAHY, the brother, Fred, and a brother, Theodore. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. SCHMIDT, aged 63, passed away unexpectedly Friday noon at the late residence, 1310 Lake Michigan-dr., N.W. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church and a member of St. Joseph's Aid society and the Holy Name society of St. Mary's church. He is survived by a son, Edwin C.; one sister, Mrs. James CUDDOHY, and two brothers, Theodore and Fred SCHMIDT, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The body reposes at the late residence, where relatives and friends are requested to recite the Rosary Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. Arrangements by Arsulowicz Funeral Home.
