SCHMIDT, PASSES Frank J. SCHMIDT, 63, operator of a grocery store and meat market at 16 Straight-av., S.W., 40 years, died Friday at his home, 1310 Lake Michigan-dr., N.W. For most of the 40-year period Mr. SCHMIDT conducted the meat and grocery business with a brother Fred. He sold the business last September and retired. Mr. SCHMIDT was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church and a member of the Holy Name and St. Joseph's aid societies. Surviving are a son, Edwin C. SCHMIDT; a sister, Mrs. James CUDDAHY, the brother, Fred, and a brother, Theodore. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. SCHMIDT, aged 63, passed away unexpectedly Friday noon at the late residence, 1310 Lake Michigan-dr., N.W. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church and a member of St. Joseph's Aid society and the Holy Name society of St. Mary's church. He is survived by a son, Edwin C.; one sister, Mrs. James CUDDOHY, and two brothers, Theodore and Fred SCHMIDT, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
