He moved to Chicago from Grand Rapids in the late 1800's early 1900's to find better work opportunities. There he met my grandmother and they settled there. Their children were my father and his sister (Mildred). He was the son of Andrew and Johanna (Muller)Centilli. Ben had four brothers and a sister, Frank, Lloyd, Adolph, Andrew and Rose One brother was nicknamed "Babe" perhaps because he was the youngest ? Maybe it was Adolph as I never heard about him growing up, just great uncles Frank, Lioyd, Andy, Babe and aunt Rose. I had the opportunity to meet them all except my grandfather Ben as he died in 1937 in Chicago. I was very young when I met them. (10-12 yrs.) But we went to see Aunt Rose every year as she was my dads favorite. I was told by my dad that his lineage came from southern Italy in the early 1800's then left there to escape oppression and settled in Poland where my Great Grandfather Andrew was born. He ! left for Prussia as a young man and served in the German/Prussian Army then met my Great Grandmother (Johanna Muller) married her and immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Grand Rapids Mich.
