Greetings, Mike; I cannot help you with the Flipse family, but the other name you mention is interesting to me. I have a friend that I have known since kindergarten in GR, MI who said his grandfather was Leonard A. Versluis. He said he owned the radio station WLAV named after his initials. My friends name is Robert Werkema. Is the Werkema name in your family, also? I am a cousin to Bob's brother. Another interesting thing about your post is a similarity to your name. I also had some friends in GR by the name of Heyer; Robert and Roger who were twins. Robert passed away last year, I think. Any connections? Carl W.
