Hi Listers, I'm hoping that one of you may be able to help me find the ancestral background of Theodore PETTEE. Here is what I do know about him: He lived in Grand Rapids and was supposedly in the mercantile business with a member of the COBB family. He is shown in the GR City Directory 1889-90 as a carpenter at 474 Ottawa. Theodore does not show in the 1880 census. However, the 1870 census shows him living in Kalamazoo with wife name of Ellen M or W and a son William J. b. MI. In this census his place of birth is shown as NY. All help sincerely appreciated.
