VanMalsen aged 84 passed away Sunday morning at his home 1057 Prince Sreet SE. Surviving are three sons; Hans and Clarence of Grand Rapids and Rev. Bert VanMalsen of Lansing, Ill.; five daughters Mrs. William Avink and Mrs. John Schapperkotter of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Harry Clark of Chicago, Mrs. Clarence Shipper of Lafayette, Ind. and Miss Elizabeth Hazel Van Malsen at home; one brother Peter VanMalsen; one sister Mary Ringold, 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Oakdale Reformed Church. Rev. Harry Zegerius officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. Relatives will meet in the church parlors at l:30. Arrangements by Jonknoff Funeral Home.
