Darling - 1537 Sharron, N.E., Grand Rapids, Mich. passed away Wednesday (25 Aug 1971) at Butterworth Hospital. Miss Darling was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harvey and Mildred Darling. She had resided in Grand Rapids for 20 years, working in electronics for Lear Sigler until she became ill. Miss Darling served with the Waves in World War II. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Mildred Darling of Portage; one bother, Harvey E. Darling, Jr. of Portage; an aunt, Mrs. Hazel M. Hale of Sarasota, Fla.; a niece, Miss Sharon Darling; 2 nephews, Richard and Robert Darling, all of Portage; and her step-mother, Mrs. Doris Darling of Portage. Religious services 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Truesdale South Chapel, Portage, Rev. Roderic D. Wiltse officiating. Interment, Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
