SCHMIDT, 36, EXPIRES IN HOSPITAL Cyril A. SCHMIDT, 36, 1413 Detroit street, died Sunday in St. Joseph hospital following an illness of one week. He had lived in Flint 13 years, coming here from Ann Arbor. Mr. SCHMIDT was a member of St. Michael church and the Holy Name society and was active in the University of Michigan Alumni association. Funeral services will be in St. Michael church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. Fr. Maurice W. Chawke officiating. Mr. SCHMIDT leaves his wife, Elizabeth [SMITH], three daughters, Joan, Mary Ellen and Evelyn, all at home, mother, Mrs. Johanna SCHMIDT of Grand Rapids, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, 1939, from the St. Michael's church. Rev. Fr. Chawke officiating. Deceased will be at Dodds-Dumanois Co. funeral home. Death was caused by complications after an illness of one week. He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., Jan. 31, 1903, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John SCHMIDT, and had lived in Flint for the last 13 years, coming from Ann Arbor, Mich. He was married August 15, 1927 to Elizabeth SMITH at Lakewood, Ohio. He was a member of the St. Michael's church, the Holy Name Society and was active in the U. of M. club. Surviving are Wife, Mrs. Elizabeth SCHMIDT; 3 children, John [Joan], Mary Ellen and Evelyn Louise, all at home; mother, Mrs. Johanna SCHMIDT of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. SCHMIDT, 36, resident of Grand Rapids for 24 years, died in St. Joseph's hospital, Flint, Sunday afternoon. He was born in Grand Rapids, graduated from high school here and then attended the University of Michigan. He moved to Flint following his marriage about 12 years ago. Surviving are the widow and three daughters, all of Flint; his mother, Mrs. Johanna SCHMIDT; three brothers, Othmar, Val and Amos, and three sisters, Kitty, Mary and Lillian, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Michael's church, Flint. SCHMIDT, 36, former Grand Rapids resident, died Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph's hospital at Flint. He had moved to Flint 12 years ago following his marriage. Born in Grand Rapids, Mr. SCHMIDT received his education in high school here and later was graduated from the University of Michigan. Surviving are the widow and three daughters, all of Flint; the mother, Mrs. Johanna SCHMIDT; three brothers, Othmar, Val and Amos, and three sisters, Katherine, Mary and Lillian, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Michael's church in Flint.
