Oppenhuizen l345 Alpine Ave NW the father of 5 sons in service died of a heart attack while at work as a night watchman for the Bissell Carpet Sweeper co. His death occured shortly on his 68th birthday. A fellow night watchman summond an ambulance when Mr. Oppenhuizen complained that he was ill. He was taken to Butterworth hospital but was dead on arrival. Surviving are his wife Hattie 2 daus. Mrs. mitchel hoffius and Mrs. Martin Prins both of Grant Rapids; 6 sons Gerrit of Grand Rapids;Pvt John recently inducted into the army; Robert pharmacists mate second class in the coast guard, Sgt. Helbert of Pinedale, Calif. S/Sgt Ernest in the china burma India theater and lst Lt. Harold in Eagle Pass, Texas. Funeral Wervices will be held at 2 pm Sat at the Van't Hof Chapel with burial in Rosedale Memorial park. Helen Ringer Kent co Mich. not related
