Coon Sharon K. Coon, aged 61, of Lebanon, IN, formerly of Owosso, MI, passed away October 20, 2006 at Clarian Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. In 1963, Sharon graduated from Lutheran High School, Luther, MI, attended Kellogg Community College, graduated from Marion Community College with a bachelor's degree and Ball State with a master's degree. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Harvest Community Christian Church, Whitestown, IN. Sharon was the Associate Director of Nursing, Bio-Medical Research, at LaRue Carter Center from 1994 to 2006. Previously, she worked at Central State Hospital in Indianapolis. Sharon is survived by her husband, Rev. Floyd C. Coon; sons, Daniel Lee (Michelle) Coon of Fort Wayne, IN and Floyd C. (Masami) Coon III of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Tonja M. (Chad) McColley of Lebanon, IN; brothers, Joseph H. Hastings II of Free Port, TX and Mark S. (Doreen) Hastings of Rapid City, SD; and eight grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday, October 25, 200! 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home.
