Hi Carl, You know...Veenstra sounds very familiar...still I do not see it in my family file. I have a van der Veene but that would not be the same. Your name sounds Friesien, as in Friesland Province in the NL. So any connection to Zeeland, NL families would have to be in Kent, Ottawa or Wayne Counties. Do you possibly have a Stoutjesdyk(ijk) connection in your family? That and the vd Burg/Berg genealogies are the only other ones I am familiar with that might have had a Veenstra. Found it: Henrietta Stoutjesdyk b. 1896 (perhaps Stout or Stouten used later) married First Veenstra. I don't know what First means (first marriage or given name First). Probably they were born in Gr. R, may have married there or in Wayne Co. and may or may not have moved to Wayne Co. As you can see, little is known about them but Henrietta's ancestors are known. Please let me know if this Veenstra is one of yours.
