Cartland - Grand Rapids, Michigan - Age 97. Passed away Saturday (April 24, 1971) morning at the M. J. Clark Memorial Home where he resided. Surviving are: one daughter Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Walkinshaw of Muskegon; 4 sons, Fred W., George F., both of Kalamazoo, John of Holland and Robert L. of Battle Creek, 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Rev. Cartland reposes at the Creston Mortuary, 1330 Plainfield, N.E., Grand Rapids, where friends may meet the family Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Clark Home Chapel, Grand Rapids.
