On the wall is a calendar for January 1915 from Byron Center Bank. Advertisements behind the bar include Montreal Malt Rye, Budweiser, Kumbak Cigar Co., Velvet Tobacco, Iroquois Cigars. In front of the bar are two spitoons. One man is behind the bar and two costumers are out front. One of the customers may be a trolley conductor, at least that's my impression. He appears to be missing his middle finger on his right hand. The other customer has a large mustache and is dressed in a very bulky fur coat. I bought this photo, along with a few others, from an antique store in Grandville. The only name on some of the photos was Nick Hansen of Byron Center. Can anyone identify the saloon? I will post a .jpg of the photograph if there is any interest. Also, another photo shows the exterior of the County Line Hotel, the proprietor's name is John Thom... something. I'm not sure if this photo is from the area but I thought I'd mention it just in case. Thanks, Chris Penning chrispenning@mindspring.com
