What years do the school attendance records cover? My ggrandfather, Burtis Mortimer Hoag,is listed in the 1870 MI census as a school teacher and on his death certificate (1943 Los Angeles Co, CA) as a retired public school teacher. The family moved to Whittier CA from Cannonsburg c. 1904. My father, who recalled his grandfather helping him with math homework, thought Burtis was a math teacher. Are there any extant records where I might be able to find out more about my ggrandfather's occupation? School attendance records are available though the WMGS and are online for Kent County. I found those of my mother for 1914-15-16. Ralph ==== MIKENT Mailing List ==== Visit the Kent Co. Leslie; I could look it up for you on the WMGS but you would be missing out on a lot of very useful research results and aids that you'll find there. Go to http://wmgs.org/ Re:> What years do the school attendance records cover? Ralph
