SCHMITT of 111 Logan St., SE, died unexpectedly Monday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons: John and Robert SCHMITT; five [seven] daughters; Mrs. Vincent ROBACH, Mrs. Raymond SLOMINSKI, Mrs. John FORTIER, the Misses Lois and Helen SCHMITT, all of Grand Rapids; Miss Bernadette SCHMITT, of New York City, Miss Pauline SCHMITT of Traverse City; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Veronica BLAKESLEE of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Allen BUNCE of Traverse City, Mrs. Mary WURM of Kingsley; two brothers, Joseph STEINBACH of Grand Rapids, William STEINBACH of Kingsley. Funeral Mass will be Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Andrew's Cathedral. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. SCHMITT reposes at the family home where members of the Legion of Mary, the Altar Society and friends will recite the Rosary Wednesday evening at 8:15. Arrangements by Alt. THE GRAND RAPIDS HERALD, Grand Rapids, Mich., Tues., Jan. 2, 1951, Pg. 16, Col. 2, Art. 3 ROSE SCHMITT, WIFE OF CHURCH ORGANIST, DIES Mrs. Rose SCHMITT, 63, of 111 Logan St., SE, died unexpectedly Monday at St. Mary's Hospital where she was taken following a heart attack. She was 63. Surviving are her husband, organist at St. Alphonsus' Church; two sons, John and Robert; seven daughters, Mrs. Vincent ROBACH, Mrs. Raymond SLOMINSKI, Mrs. John FORTIER, Lois and [H]elen SCHMITT, all of Grand Rapids, Bernadett[e] SCHMITT of New York City and Pauline SCHMITT of Traverse City; three sisters, Mrs. Veronica BLAKESLEE of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Allen BUNCE of Traverse City and Mrs. Mary WURM of Kingsley, and two brothers Joseph STEINBACH of Grand Rapids and William STEINBACH of Kingsley. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew's Cathedral, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
