My great-grandfather was Philip T. Baranowski came to Manitowoc County from Michigan shortly after the turn of the century sometime and had a mill. He was born in the Grand Rapids area. Philip T. was the son of Martin Baranowski who was the son of Joseph Baranowski, Sr. and Rose Gattceit. Some of them lived in the Alpine Township mentioned in your post. Catherine/Katherine Baranowski (born 1830, Posen, Prussian Poland), Martin’s sister, married William Tennes about 1857. Was William a sibling of Joseph?
