I am currently living in TX , but will return to MI in late spring. Is there anyway I can research articles written by my grandmother during 1900's - 1940's in Grand Rapids Newspapers while I am still in TX, or is this a need to look at microfilm at MI library and search each issue of newspapers? Janet, In regard to your questions, Marriages and Divorces - the Grand Rapids Public Library has the index to the marriages for Kent County on film until the late 1990's. They also have the city directories on film for the time period you are looking for and if there is anything on the local businesses, they will have it in their manuscript collection. The Grand Rapids newspapers are on film here. You will find the collection much more complete than at Lansing.
