    3. The DAR read tombstones back in 1929-1931 for all of Kent County. Woodlawn is run by the City of Grand Rapids but the City is in a bad financial bind and has only one clerk working for all the cemeteries and she has to handle any current burial in all the City cems which takes priority over requests like yours. This only clerk works at Woodlawn Cem which is 2530 Kalamazoo Ave SE Grand Rapids, MI, 49507. It is better to contact her directly than to go through the City Recreation Department on Market Street. She does not have access to an online computer. The DAR list is on-line by cemetery. This 1929-31 list is also in straight alpa order at the Grand Rapids Pulic Library, 111 Library St NE 49503 but this list is not any more current. The on-line list is more up to date but I don't know how to paste the online address buts its a Kent County site provided by rootsweb as this list is. So you should be able to find it there, somehow. Of course, there may be another Woodlawn Cem somewhere else outside of the City of Grand Rapids. You don't specify any particular Cem in any particular City. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 05, 2006 8:22 PM Subject: [MIKENT] Woodlawn Cemetery > Is there anyway to find the names of those buried there? > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.1.407 / Virus Database: 268.12.13/463 - Release Date: 10/4/2006 > >
