Hello Kent List, This is regarding DT Sabo's kind offer to look up "GENEALOGY" in her copy of a 1900 Kent County Biography Sketch Book. I think it was very nice and an unselfish act. And since it is DIRECTLY connected to Genealogy, is perfectly allowable on a "Genealogy" message board. We should see much more of this from List Members on all the Lists. Too bad some people are unhappy about it. But if the list manager doesn't object, than neither should anyone on the list. It's still a free country, after all. God Bless America, Elly

I found that at the Kent County Clerk's office, but I'm not sure yet if there is a connection to my Spanninga family. Tina's parents are Ont. Steenstra and Anne Smit. I have a Siepke Steenstra Dykstra who married my Cornelius Spanninga Jan. 11. 1979, but her death record gives her parents as Jan Steenstra and Antje Tiemersma. At some point according to family history the Spanningas had a Bontekoe boy living with them. I have a photo of a young man identified as "Bontekoe", as well as a photo of a young lady identified as "Steenstra?" circa about 1897 (and a bunch more unidentified photos).
