West (b.January 1,1840-d.July 30,1914) are also my Great Great Grandparents. They were married December 25, 1861 in North Plains, Ionia County?, MI and had four children: Ernest (d. 1948); Carmi W. Parker (b.September 4,1862-d.1935) who married Elsie Matilda Houghton (b.August 6, 1866-d.November 20, 1904)on September 23, 1883; Elmer D. (b. December 1864-d.1913); and Herbert Vincent (b. December 20, 1870-d. 1952. George L. Parker served in the Civil War as a member of the reorganized 3rd Michigan Infantry. Carmi W. Parker and Elsie Matilda Houghton had seven children who are listed below. 1. Edith Viola Parker (b.February 21, 1885-d. May 29, 1915. She married Lewis E. McKay. They had four children: Niles, Goldie, Inez, and Mary. Edith is buried in Crandall Cemetery in Ensley Center, Newaygo County, MI. 2. Charles Wesley Parker (b.July 5, 1887-d. December, 1968). He married Mae Peterson (d.May 28, 1987) and they had six children: Orrie, Elsie Jane, Leo, Charles Jr., Glenn, and Earl. Both are buried in Central Lake, Antrim County, MI. 3. Goldie May Parker (b. October 16, 1889-b.January 27, 1973) married Clarence S. Barrett (b.October 29, 1889-d.September 22, 1954) on March 8, 1910. They had seven children: Leona Violet, Leonard Elton, Hazel Fern, Ruth Evelyn, Loren Dale, Clarence Jr, and Dorothy Jane. Both are buried in Sand Lake, Montcalm County, MI. 4. Elmer Eugene Parker (b. July 20, 1892-d.April 2, 1910)Elmer died of muscular dystrophy. 5. Ross Allen Parker (b.July 13, 1895-d.January 7, 1911) Ross died of muscular dystrophy. 6. Cecil Glenn Parker (b. February 26, 1900-d.December 10, 1974 married Cynthia Genevieve McNeely (b. April 26, 1897-d. September 1984) They were married in San Francisco, CA while C. Glenn (as he preferred to be known) was stationed at "The Presidio" as a Sargeant in the US Army. They are both buried in Ottawa Hills Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas County, OH. They had two children: Dolores Evelyn and John Kensington. Dolores is my mother. 7. Forrest Dale Parker (a.k.a. Theodore "Happy" Hayes) (b. May 17, 1904-d. November 1974) He married Georgia ???? Unfortunately, I do not have any further data on "Haps" family. Lori, would you be so kind as to complete this section of the family? The 1920 census records regarding the Parker's in Grand Raids are wrong. Charles is Carmi's son, and your grandfather's older brother. In 1920, C. Glen Parker was likely at West Point, where he spent two years studying. I have many wonderful memories of going with my grandparents to "the 20" (the old family farm outside Baptist Lake), going to Aunt Goldie's house in Grand Rapids, Uncle Charlie and Aunt Mae's house up in Central Lake (They lived in a stone house, made from field stones. What a neat place when you're only seven!), and swimming in Baptist Lake at Hazel's house. I'm quite certain my dates are correct as my grandfather made an extensive genealogy of the family prior to his death. In the 1960's he coordinated the annul Parker Family reunions that were held in Leslie and Lansing, MI What great memories! I'd love to hear from you! Blessings, Doug

Was Ann Moe's last name her married name or maiden name? I will have to look over my genealogy sheet to see if I can find any Gray's on it. Where is Moe Town located? I am thinking that a lot of the Moe's lived in the south east part of Michigan and a few came to the south west area. I live about 5 miles outside of Grand Rapids. Irving Moe was born in Ionia County but after serving in the civil war moved to Rockford Michigan. That is about 12 miles north of GR. Have any of your relatives mentioned the spelling change from Meaux to Moe? It would make sense if your relatives came from France that it would have been spelled that way. You can e-mail me at yorkhayley@aol.com. I can send you my genealogy sheet by e-mail or regular mail. It is a report a distant relative gave to my cousin. I have never met him or anything but it seems to be very accurate so far. I have been researching my family tree for about 2 years now ! and have really enjoyed it. It gets addicting if you don't watch it but is a lot of fun. My sister is doing my mothers side and I am doing my fathers. That helps otherwise it would take a lot longer. Looking forward to comparing notes with you. Sincerely, Sherry

    3. Hi Dennilyn, Thank you. I will check these links that you sent. I am looking for relatives of Florence M. Horton Holland. Florence was born abt. 1892 in Byron Township, Kent County, Michigan Father: Joseph W. Horton Mother: Susan F. Adams April 21, 1912 married Fred L. Holland From what I know, she had a son, Ellwood, before she married Fred, but we don't know who his father was. Ellwood went by the Holland name. Florence and Fred also had a daughter named Susan. A few years later, Florence & Fred divorced and she married Fred's brother Charles. We have not found the divorce document for Florence & Fred, nor have we found the marriage record for Florence & Charles. However, they did live together, had 2 children, and are buried together. I would really like to find these two documents. I would also like more information on other relatives/ancestors of Florence Horton. Let me know if anything/anyone looks familiar.
