I know that his business was located at 74 Monroe St. in Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids Herald Advertisement January 26, 1896). This family ór/and his son have emigrated, that I don't know yet. Name of his son:Willem P. born 1912 in Groningen, died 1995 in USA or Canada. Married Tetje Kragt born 1913 Vlagtwedde and died 1991. Their son is Willem Hendricus P. married to ?, their son is Rick Poelstra. He is married to Karen .... I discovered this family by answering a question from an messageboard somewhere from Rick Poelstra. Unfortunately he has changed his email adress and I can't send him all this information. The two-seat, single-engined aircraft left Hastings Airport in Barry County at 5 p.m. Sunday for a night flight training sesson (sic). The craft carried four and a half hours worth of fuel for the one hour training flight. The pilot, Gorden Griffen, 47, of Ken(t)wood, apparently died instantly. The cause was under investigation. The wreckage was found by authorities in a field near the Ionia-Montcalm county line about 60 miles northeast of Hastings.
