    1. [MIKENT] Jessie May DUFFEY (SKELTON)
    2. I am looking for information on a Jessie May DUFFEY who was married to # 1 Ernest DUFFY and had a daughter Ernestine Phylma DUFFY born on 26 August 1923. in Charlevoix County, MI. Ernest died on August 1, 1923 and she was a widow when the baby was born. I know part of her family moved to Grand Rapids and since I have found no trace of Jessie or Ernestine in Charlevoix area, I am checking Kent Co. I figure Jessie may have remarried since she wasn't very old (22?) when her husband died. I would love any help anyone can give-possible a marriage record for Jessie or Ernestiine? Pam

    3. Last night, after sending my earlier message, we had dinner with friends. I mentioned your question about Evergreen St. in Wyoming. One of our friends said there was an evergreen St. in Wyoming when he was a boy. It ran south from Burton St just west of Clyde Park Ave. It is not on the current maps , so its name must have been changed. It is in the Lee School district. That is a small but still current school district with its own schools, elementary thru high school. Once again I suggest you contact the GR Public Library. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kFB.2ACE/1017.1.1 Message Board Post: This message is about Wyoming MI. I live in Wyoming. At one time, it was like a township, but has been incorporated as a city since 1959, I believe. It is a suburb of Grand Rapids, being to the south and southwest of Grand Rapids. I live about 1/4 mile from the boundry of GR and Wyoming. Both are a part of Kent County. I dont think I can help you with your relative search, unless perhaps you are stumped, and maybe I can do a visit to the library for you. I do have Chapmans in my line, which is why I found this message. My relatives seem to have come from England to MA, to Ohio. I don't have my notes handy, but most of my Chapman relatives (old ones) are buried in or near Ashtabula and Mechanicsburg OH.

    3. I was wondering if anyone here could help me. My grandfather is listed as being 14 years old in the 1920 census in Wyoming, Kent County, Michigan. It also shows that he lived on Evergreen Street. Can anyone tell me what schools would have been in that area? Do you know if there would have been yearbooks published at that time? One other question. I have been told by my aunt that my grandfather was also very involved in boxing in Grand Rapids in the 1920's. He was a featherweight boxer. Can anyone tell me where I might find more information about this? Any information regarding Charles D. Powell (my grandfather), Evergreen Street, the schools, and the boxing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.. Thank you.
