Francis died 26 Sept. 1919 in Grand Rapids. He had three daughters, Jennie, Anna, and Nellie that I know of. Francis was my gggrandfather.

I believe it means brook or small brook in german. The name is also donauschwabian; germans that migrated from Germany and settled in different countries along the Danube, like Hungary, Croatia. I am interested in tracing where in Germany or Austria the name originates from.

I looked in the early marriages of Kent County and could not find either name.
Just did a quick check of an online index at WMGS. Nothing even close popped up and I even ran Solomon NLN and Isabella NLN as well as Hogarth and McIntyre.
