He was employed by the State of Michigan Prison Systems as a Psychologist leaving for health reasons in December of 2007. He had also worked for Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo as a therapist on the drug rehab floor. Surviving are wife, Patricia; children, Makia (Randy) Elkins of Three Rivers, MI, Luren (Tony) Young of Lancaster, VA, Jennifer (Randy) Falkenstein of Sturgis, MI and Marshall (Rebecca) Scheetz of Williamsburg, VA; eight grandchildren; one brother, Gary Apps of Kalamazoo, MI and his mother, Marjorie Wood of Kalamazoo, MI. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of William Apps will be held at 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home. His obituary is also available at www.legacy.com.
