Chuck was born on June 15, 1963 the son of Irving J. and Elizabeth A (Tait). Olson. He graduated from WMU in 1991 supporting himself as a manager at Little Caesars. After graduation he moved to Detroit to follow in his father's footsteps in sales where he worked for MICCO Industries as a Regional Sales Manager. For the past five years, Chuck worked in Grand Rapids MICCO office until his death. Chuck was an avid golfer and good fisherman. He loved sports and activities in the City of Detroit. Most of all he enjoyed being with his large family. Chuck was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elsworth and, Lydia Tait and paternal grandparents, Edgart and Agnas Olson, and his brother, Phillip V. Olson. Chuck is survived by his parents, Irving J. and Elizabeth A. Olson; 13 siblings: John R. Olson, Christine I. (Mike) Cooper, Tom Olson, Barb Olson, Sandy Olson (Mark Schwerin), Nancy Gordon, Sue (Mike) K! irvan, Ed Olson, Mark (Shelly) Olson, Matt Olson, Bob (Shelly) Olson, Becca Olson and Patty (Tom) Olson. Chuck is also survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 2-5 PM at REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge- 343-6156 where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM. Father Larry Farrell officiating. Private Interment of cremains will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan-Grand Rapids and Southwest Michigan Cancer Center. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 4/17/2008.
