Dorothy was born November 10, 1913 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Elmer and Jennie (Pikkaart) Pasch and had lived in Kalamazoo for many years before moving to Florida. She had worked for Sutherland Paper and Brown Paper Companies for 24 years and was a Past Head Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. On June 16, 1934 she married Fredrick D. Freeman, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1985. She was also preceded by her parents and two sisters, Wilma and Elizabeth. Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Doris Gillespie Merrill of Marco Island, FL, Donna Jean (Bob) Goldstein of Naples, FL, Joyce Elaine (Al) Walker of Kalamazoo and Phyllis Lorraine (Ketch) Ketchum of Pine Lake; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; a brother, Lyle (Velma) Pasch of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Boughton Cemetery with Rev. James Dyke officiating! . The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Friday from 4-7 PM.
