Born on July 31, 1908 in Kalamazoo. She was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, MI, until 2000 when she moved to Northbrook, IL to be near her family. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in music (piano). Beloved wife of the late William Race, whom she married in 1933; loving mother of William S. (Ann) Race, Geoffrey S. (Carol) Race, Peter S. (Kristen) Race and Louis S. (Judy) Race; cherished grandmother of nine and fond great-grandmother of 11; dear sister of Louis (Mary Ann) Sutherland.
