James was born on March 8, 1935 in Aberdeen, NC, the son of the late James G. and Anna Bell (Parrish) Wilson. James was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid fan of the North Carolina Tarheels and a member of AARP, American Diabetes Association and was a Davita Citizen. He was an advocate for the elderly and promoted their care. He worked as a Safety Engineer in Rome, New York and was a Human Resources Manager at Wells Aluminum for nine years and then at Lotte USA, Inc. for 10 years, retiring in 2004. James was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle and a brother, Raymond. James is survived by his wife, Ellen Wilson and three children, Robin Ann (Ken) Vozzolo of Laguna Nigel, CA, J. R Wilson, Jr. of Jackson, WY and Dane G. Wilson of Seattle, WA; a grandson, Daegan Wilson of Jackson, WY and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, ! April 1, 2008 from 6-7 PM at the PARCHMENT-REDMOND Funeral Home 2300 East G. Ave-349-7735 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7 PM. Doyle C.
