She was born December 12, 1922 in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Ray and Harriet Lum. In July of 1951, Marjorie was united in marriage with Donald Rutherford, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harry Lum and a sister, Helen Massey. Marjorie is survived by a son, Dr. Donald (Jean) Rutherford, Jr. of Grand Haven; a granddaughter, Katherine Victoria Rutherford of Grand Haven; a brother, George Lum of Kalamazoo and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday morning at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with the Rev. Jim Dyke, officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will follow services. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Portage Chapel.
