He was born June 3, 1935 in Elkin, North Carolina to the late Dauthard C. and Beulah (Felts) Mason. Surviving Roy are his children, Rebecca (Mark) Beckman of Portage, Debra (Robert) Linenger of Portage and Kathy (Joe) Dobson of Elkin, NC; four grandchildren, Jason Beckman, Lauren Linenger, Kristen Linenger and Buffy Dobson; sisters, Dorothy Shores, Linda Perryman; brothers Flake Mason and Paul Mason; and many cousins. Also preceding Roy in death was a brother, J.D. Mason. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, 1:00 o'clock at Spring Manor Apartments, Community Room, 610 Mall Dr., Portage, MI with family greeting friends, one hour prior to services. Pastor Mark Lasley will officiate services. A luncheon will follow, also in the Community Room. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E.
