Kalamazoo, MI Went to be with Jesus Wednesday evening January 13, 2010 at his residence. Dale was born March 4, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Howard and Helena (Harback) McGuire. Years ago, he served honorably with the National Guard. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Goodwill Industries for 32 years, retiring in 1990. Dale was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Mark Maxson in 1999. On August 14, 1953, he was united in marriage to Sandra L. (McMains) McGuire who survives. Also surviving, two daughters, Ruthann (Steve Smith) Maxson both of Kalamazoo and Linda (Rod) Clarke of Schoolcraft; five grandchildren, Todd (Luz) Maxson, Mindy (Josh) Acosta, Julie (Ryan) Kirkbride, Derek Clarke, and Amber Clarke; nine great-grandchildren, Aaron, Monique, Lucas, Isabelle, Isaac, Eva, Natalie, Colt, and Arrianna; two sisters, Beverly Chase and Judi Kozminske both of Kalamazoo; four sisters-in-law, P! auline Davidson, Ethel Willard, and Norma Day all of Kalamazoo, and Jennifer Weirtz of Cadillac, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, 402 S. Westnedge Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethel Baptist Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
