Attached is a picture of my mother at the gravestone of Robert and Anna, taken in 1993. It is a remarkable stone. A fourth family to intermarry with the Simons, Wakefields and Petersons is the Lawlers, after whom the cemetery is named. We had to get permission to go onto Camp Custer to visit the cemetery. But just across the road on the other side of the fence we found the foundation of Robert and Anna Wakefield's homestead deep in the corner of the park in a forested area. They were all pushed out in 1917 to make room for Camp Custer. As for Henry's parents, Titus T. Simons and Elizabeth Peterson, they are buried in the nearby Reese Cemetery along with Perthena Simons and Robert N. Wakefield (Jr.).
