Of Portage Passed away Thursday afternoon, December 31, 2009. Jeff was born October 19, 1958 in Kalamazoo the son of Richard and Joyce (Lantz) Northrup. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kayla Fatkin in 2001 and his father, Richard in 2007. Surviving are his children, Miranda (Craig) Villard of Ohio, Max Northrup of Kalamazoo; his mother, Joyce Northrup of Portage; his former wife, Deborah Northrup of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Villard and nephews, Aaron (Jamie) Christopher, and Todd (Jennifer) Christopher. Jeff was formerly employed by Consumers Concrete, K&D Enterprises, and Greenfield Farms. He later went on to own welding, recycling, and trucking businesses of his own. Jeff never met a power tool he didn't like. He attended Kalamazoo First Assembly in Portage where he enjoyed the services, his friends, and most recently, running the sound board there. Jeff is best remembered behind the wheel of a semi, cigarette dangling, and music loud. He will be deeply mis! sed by all who knew and loved him. Services for Jeff will be held at 1:00 o'clock Tuesday at the Kalamazoo First Assembly, 5550 Oakland Dr., with Pastor Dave Barringer officiating. Friends may meet the family Tuesday from 12-1:00 at the church. Private family interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
