Portage, MI Dixie went to be with her Lord December 30, 2009. She was born November 10, 1933 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Donald and Helen (Remmele Keppel. Dixie was united in marriage to William J Hessler who survives. She was employed by The Upjohn Company for over 18 years until her retirement. She enjoyed music, reading, sports, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving along with William, her loving husband of 54 years are her children, Keely Hessler of Denver, Brad ( Denise ) Hessler of Paw Paw, Janice Hessler of Portage; eight grandchildren; sister, Janet ( William ) Vann; several nieces, and nephews. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at the Portage Free Methodist Church, 1715 West Centre Avenue, Portage, MI, Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment will be held in Fort Custer Cemetery, Augusta, MI, Friday, Janurary 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
