Age 77 Of Augusta Passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born May 16, 1932 in Prairie Hill, TX the son of William Henry and Maggie Tenney (Little) Sullivan. He married Alice D. Kitchen on April 2, 1955 and she preceded him in death on June 11, 1996, he then married Janet Leatherman on August 8, 2000 in Battle Creek. Billy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and he was later stationed in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He worked as a train engineer with the Grand Trunk Western Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He had previously worked for the Coca Cola bottling plant in Battle Creek. Billy's work and family were the center of his life. He enjoyed watching football and having his grandchildren over to the house. Surviving are his wife, Janet Sullivan; children, Micheal Sullivan of Boisie, Idaho, Thomas (Brenda) Sullivan of Battle Creek, Wanda (Allen) Harmon of Augusta, Matthew Sullivan of Battle Creek, Joseph (Jaime) Sullivan of Sherwood,! MI; 14 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack (Wanda) Sullivan of Waco, Texas, Dorothy Ducas of Riverside, CA, Della Richard of Waco, Texas, Delores Wright of Waco, Texas, Jill Todar of Waco, Texas, Ernestine (Ruben) Hernandez, Lewisville, Texas, Sylvia (Morgan) Plain of Wichita Falls, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John L., Michael, William Henry "Junior" Sullivan, Jr. and three infant sisters. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev. Thomas Ott officiating. Burial will be in East Hickory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Williams Syndrome Association.
