Betty was born on December 12, 1933 in Bell City, MO the daughter of Finus and Jewel (Woods) Hamlett. She was a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, Comstock Community Services and the Stroke Club. Betty was preceded in death by a son, Michael; an infant daughter and a sister, Margaret Bickings. Betty is survived by her husband, Elmer Bickings whom she married May 2, 1952; their three children: Sandra (Bob) Brady; Ronnie D. (Sherry) Bickings and Timothy P. (Debbie) Bickings all of Parchment; nine grandchildren; seven siblings: Mary Yant of Sikeston, MO; Shirley Casey of Niles, MI; Gerald Hamlett of Versailles, MO; Barbara Smith of Cape Girardeau, MO; Jack Hamlett of Plainwell, MI; Alice Adams of Detroit, MI and Gary Hamlett of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received today, January 21, 2010 from 5-8 PM at PARCHMENT Redmond Funeral Home 2300 East G Ave. (269) 343-7735 Where Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 22, 2010. Pastor Ronald Clark officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
