A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mr. Alman was the son of the late John Andrew and Ethel Eileen McCarty Alman. He was employed by the University of Central Florida Nanoscience Technology Center in Orlando, FL. Mr. Alman was a retired Major in the US Air Force after twenty years of service, and was a member of the Military Officers Association of America. In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Alman is survived by a son, Jon Alman and wife Kelly Prince of Marietta, GA; a daughter, Karyn Alman of Waitsfield, VT; a sister, Helen Brown of Kalamazoo, MI; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Alman of Delton, MI; grandchildren, Austin Alman and Anabel Prince; and his beloved dog, Bodie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Alman was predeceased by a brother, William Alman, and a sister, Eleanor Moore. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
