Age 51 Galesburg, MI Passed away on January 1, 2010. Mary was born in Kalamazoo, MI on March 1, 1958 the daughter of Russell and Frances (Klobucher) Young. She worked as a secretary for Galesburg/Augusta Middle School where she was an advisor to student groups. She loved kids, animals, gardening, attending K-Wings Hockey games and dancing. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Mary handled her illness with grace, dignity, strength and without complaint. She was an inspiration. Surviving besides her parents, are her husband, Charles whom she married November 19, 1988; two children Cassandra and Hannah Wendling both at home; a brother, Russell (Angela) Young of Portage; two sisters, Tess (John) Gooch and Amy (Don) McNally all of Kalamazoo, an aunt, Pat (Bob) Kellogg of Kalamazoo and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM at REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge- 343-6156 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2009 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Mattawan. Fr. Mathew Illikattil Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American National Kidney Foundation .
