Age 79 Died December 21, 2009, with family and friends by her side in Kalamazoo, MI. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, December 29th at 11:30 am at the People's Church (1758 N 10th St, Kalamazoo). Julia was born, September 20, 1930, to Edna and Louis Neuder. The youngest of four children, Julia went on to complete her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and later earned a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She worked many years for Michigan Children's Aide Society. Julia was a loving mother who enjoyed travel, investing and was a supporter of women's issues. She was an active member of the Kalmazoo Chapter of the League of Women Voters. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William; son, Douglas; daughter, Raquel; granddaughter, Jasmine; brothers, William, Louis and Richard and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the League of Women's Voters or Kalamazoo Family and Children Services.
