Kalamazoo Passed away August 31, 2010 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo. Al was born March 13, 1938 in Albion the son of the late Clinton and Allien (Allen) Walker. Al was a kind and loving man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a hard worker who retired from General Motors after more than twenty-five years of service. He then went to work as a school bus driver in Kalamazoo. When not working, he enjoyed camping, and was fond of model railroading. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Joyce Walker. He is also survived by his children, Allen (Valarie) Walker Jr., Jean (Scott) Schingledecker, Karrieann Hallam, Kyle (Gurpreet) Walker, Richard Bradshaw, Sonya (Doug) Jones, Robin Ryno, Linda (David) Miles, Michael (Sue) Waters, and Jerry (Harleen) Waters; many grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and good friends. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on 11 AM Saturday, ! September 4, 2010 at Doster Reformed Church, 12145 Doster Rd. Plainwell, MI 49080. Memorials may be directed to the American Kidney Foundation, care of the funeral home.
