They wre on their was from the family summer cottege to the mainland when Jean heard her grandfather say he was not feeling well, and glancing back saw him crumpled down and unconscious. The were very close to the shore at the time. Mr. Warren was 67 years old, born in Climax, Michigan, Aug 7, 1872, but most of his adult life was passed in New York state. When a young man he was engaged in the mercantile business in Victor, then at Fishers, and later in Newark. He came from Newwark to Fairport in 1912 and purchased the general store of the late M. H. Kellogg, which he continues to operate until his death. A man of even tenor, courteous and dependable in all his business dealing, Mr. Warren's passing is a shock to the community, and he will be missed by a host of friends outside his immediate family, all of whom have the sincere sympathy of everybody. Mr. Warren had been troubled with a heart ailment the past few years, and had found it best to curtail some of his more energetic activities, thought all the time giving his personal attention to the conduct of his business. He is survived by his wife, Eloise; one daughter, Mrs. Page DeLand of Fairport; one brother, Arthur, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Jean and Warren DeLand. Rev. Lee Fletcher, pastor of the Congregations church, whieh which Mr. Warren was identified, officiated at the largle attended funeral service, which was held at the family home, 74 West Church street, Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in Boughton Hill cemetery, Victor. A great profusion of flowers, including a large floral piece from the buriness interests of the village, attested to the high esteem in which Mr. Warrren was held by his associates and neighbors.
