Steve was born in Kalamazoo on February 26, 1917, the son of Stephen and Velma (Simon) Dalla. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army as a Chaplain's Assistant. He retired in 1978 from Upjohn Co. Steve was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Men's Club and the American Legion where he volunteered at Senior Services. His wife, Margaret, preceded him in death on July 28, 1988, along with a daughter, Joan M. Dalla on November 20, 2000. Two children survive him, Mary K. Dalla of Haslett, MI and Michael R. Dalla of Portage; three grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Benjamin and Steve; niece, Cathy Seeburg and nephew, Richard Liniham. Friends will be received today from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Grondz as celebrant.
