Of Kalamazoo Passed away March 2, 2008. Walter was born October 26, 1923 in Hazelton, PA, the son of Harry and Evelyn (Hildebrandt) Botticher. He was a veteran of WW II, serving his country in the U.S. Army. Walter was a postal supervisor for over thirty years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and fishing. Walter was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. On August 12, 1961, he married Genivee L. Miller, who survives. Other members of his family include sons, Kurt of Kalamazoo and Dirk (Debbie) Botticher of Berkley Springs, WV; daughters, Connie (Gary) Scott of Schoolcraft, Phyllis Botticher of Comstock and Dawn Atkinson of KY; and several grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Russell and a brother, Gerald. A private family service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions to M.R.C. Industries or Zion Lutheran Church will be appreciated. The family is being served by the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 3/6/2008.
