She was born on December 6, 1918 and was a lifetime resident of Kalamazoo. The daughter of Orange Stephens and May Crapoff. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and attended Parsons Business School. Married to Fred T. Wilson in 1936, who passed away in 1954. They had three children, Jack (Lenore) Wilson, Jill (Dean) Dudley and Leslie (Duncan) Connor. She had two sisters, Betty Parr, deceased and Beverly Kemple of Grand Rapids. She re-married in 1959 to Ray C. Lyons, whose children were Karen (Peter) Baker and Mike (Connie) Lyons. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 14-great grandchildren. Virginia was a member of the Bronson Guild, Coffee Cart and Meals on Wheels. She worked at Upjohn, WMU and Barber's Clothing Store. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service on Tuesday, March 18th at 2:00 PM at Milwood United Methodist Church, 3! 919 Portage Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all employees of the Upjohn Community Care Center with special thanks to Laura and Karen.
