Batavia, New York Mrs. Iris J. Praus, of Batavia, New York and formerly of Kalamazoo, a former secretary at A.M. Todd Company in Kalamazoo, died Friday, (February 29, 2008) at the Genesee County Nursing Home. Mrs. Praus was born in New York City, a daughter of the late Carmello and Corinna Messine. She was fluent in many foreign languages and enjoyed fashion and antiques. Survivors include a son, Edgar Praus of LeRoy, N.Y.; a daughter, Corinne (Robert) Sze of Santa Fe, N.M. and a grandchild. Her husband, Alexis Praus died in 1999 and she is the sister of the late Edith Martin. There are no prior calling hours and services will be private.
