WEESE, David A. KA81IOF Of Comstock Passed away Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2005 at Laurels of Galesburg. He was born October 20, 1934 in Kalamazoo. Dave served in the United States Marine Reserve from 1956 to 1963. He was a retired journeyman electrician and a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #131 for over 50 years. He was a founding member of Southwest Michigan Gun Club, where he achieved awards for skeet shooting. He enjoyed CB radio, and then was an amateur radio operator for many years. Dave lost his brother, Cyril Gallup, to the Korean War; and is survived by 2 sisters, Mae Blair of Hastings and Apache Junction, AZ, and Bea Root of Apache Junction, AZ; and 1 brother, Cecil Gallup of Irving, MI. He is also survived by Delilah Weese-McCarnille, the mother of his children; 1 son, Robert Weese of Kalamazoo, 1 daughter, Shari (Greg) Boer of Scotts; 6 grandsons, Shawn Weese, currently serving in the US Air Force, Brad Weese of Las Vegas, and Greg Boer Jr, Chad Boer, Curt! iss Boer, and Troy Boer, all of Scotts; and 1 great-granddaughter, Lily Boer. Memorial service for Mr. Weese will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, with Rev. Theda McBryde officiating. Friends may visit with the family Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
